Yes. To ensure that your eSIM gets the best coverage, you must turn on data roaming on your cellphone’s settings. This will not incur any additional charges, as long as you have already set up the eSIM Explore eSIM.

What is the speed that I will have with the eSIM Explore eSIM?

With your eSIM Explore eSIM you can connect at 4G, LTE, and 5G speeds like any local data line. However, keep in mind that in remote or poor coverage areas, your mobile could connect at lower speeds.

Can I keep my WhatsApp number?

Yes, you will keep your WhatsApp number with all your conversations and contacts. You can use it just like normal.

When will I receive my eSIM?

Once you make the payment, we will send your eSIM Explore eSIM to the email you entered during the purchase process. Say goodbye to the days of waiting for a physical SIM card in the mail.

Can I call and send SMS with my eSIM Explore eSIM?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to make calls, send SMS, or receive SMS. However, with the eSIM mobile data, you can continue using instant messaging applications such as WhatsApp or iMessage.

How can I get a refund?

At eSIM Explore, we are aware that our users may have unforeseen events after making the purchase. Therefore, you can request a refund in the following circumstances:

  • You bought the eSIM without checking the compatibility with your cellphone.
  • You canceled your trip or no longer need the eSIM.
  • If you experience connection issues, we can provide a full or partial refund.

How can I delete the eSIM Explore eSIM once I’ve used my data?

There is no need to delete the eSIM once you have finished using it. However, if you wanted to, you can do this by going to your phone’s SIM card manager.

How many times can I use my eSIM card?

If needed or when changing phones during your trip, you can transfer your eSIM. However, note that you can only transfer the eSIM to two devices—the original one and a new one. Once you’ve installed it on a different device than the original, you won’t be able to reinstall it on the original device and you must deliver the eSIM from the original device to install it in the second device.

How can I check how much data I have left?

To check the data balance you have left, log in to our eSIM Explore Center with the credentials we sent you by email when you made the purchase. You can also check your data balance from the data settings on your device.

When should I set up my eSIM?

You need WiFi to set up your eSIM, so we recommend that you install and activate your eSIM just before your departure. You can also wait until you arrive at your destination to activate the eSIM, but remember that you need a prior WiFi connection for the set-up process.

How do I set up the eSIM on my device?

After your purchase, we will send a QR code to your email. Either print the QR code or open it on your computer. On your cell phone, go to Settings > Mobile/Cellular Data > Add Data Plan and scan the QR code. Your phone will allow you to set up a specific name for this data plan. You will now be able to switch between your eSIM Explore data plan and the original plan from your provider. The eSIM Explore data plan will only work once you arrive at your destination. Once you land, turn on data roaming on your cellphone settings and activate the eSIM Explore data plan.
